One of the cds on this computer is a band called the Tiger Lillies. I decided to listen to them because their genre was listed as "weird". Whih seems appropriate. They're muppets on crack.

I like the lyrics too.

Is it so bad for me to want to leave a sick wife at home and flee the house tonight?

I'm reading Thoth: God of Magic, Language and Roleplaying Games on RPG.net thinking that this was much better when [livejournal.com profile] heron61, [livejournal.com profile] princeofcairo or even myelf wrote it in book form when I got to the bottom and saw that one of the recommended non-fiction books was by Stephen Edred Flowers. After I finished laughing hysterically I found myself wondering why gamers must continually reinvent the wheel? Hasn't anyone read the 6 other game books that basically did what this article does? Hcek, at least the author could have, and mentioned them (he didn't mention a single one). I'm not even sure he's read GURPS: Cabal even though he mentions other GURPS books.

This is the thing I think I hate the most about gaming. This endless (and defeating) need to constantly reinvent the wheel. You would think laziness would prevail, but instead we keep on getting the same stuff regurgitated at us.

To be honest I'm probably as guilt as anyone here.
