This and That

Went to Chocolate Fest last night at Whole Foods. It wasn't as good as last year, the stand out being the Vosges chocolate bars. Which made it all more than worthwhile. Though at $5.99 each I think they won't be something I buy a lot of, to much of the same thing. I like the truffles because of the variety. But the nibs were just perfect and I ate many of them. We met robotnik and papersource there, and ran into D, which was a pleasant surprise (okay maybe not a huge surprise.

Afterwards Robotnik and Papersource came over to our place (after buying bread, cheese and wine) and we had a nice evening talking about politics, Canada, Project Runway and libraries, amongst many other things.

Today we have to go to peaseblossom's great-grandmothers 101st birthday. I'm not looking forward to dealing with extended family for some reason. But we are rather expected because we have the youngest generation. The great-great-grand children.

Tomorrow is the starchild's first birthday party, which should be a lot better. I can't believe she's one already!

This week I want to get over to Pandemonium to pick up heroQuest so I can stop stealing Robotnik's copy (which jeffwik has anwyays). But Peaseblossom doesn't want to bring me (too high snow drifts blocking egress from the car) so it may be a problem.

Thanks for the offer. But I've sme credit I shoud use up to get it. And maybe if I'm luck I can persuade Pandemonium to take some of these damn books off my hands. We need some new bookshelf space.
