So during lunch I was out shopping for father's day presents. One of the places I went was Pandemonium's, as my dad likes a particular style of SF and I wanted to see if there was anything interesting in. While I was there I saw John Crowley's new book and I very much wanted to buy it, but I was good and I didn't. To be honest [livejournal.com profile] peaseblossom's pavlovian training kicked in.

But John Crowley doing Byron and his daughter...must have...mmmm....drool....

There's some slash I hadn't thought of...

What's she been doing to train you? My boyfriend hasn't yet learned to control his spending, and I could use some advice...

It mostly involved a taserand cute pictures of my kids. If I tried to buy a book I'd get tasered. If I walked away I saw the kids...

Okay maybe not quite like that, but it sometiems feels like a taser, honestly...

Seriously, I think I stopped being a ompulsive book buyer when my son got addicted to libraries and we ended up going there once a week for several hours sometimes more often.
