The Boy: So Batman wanted a sidekick and he got Robin.

Me: Well sort of, it is a little more complicated. Robin's parents died and Batman took him as a ward and...

The Boy: So Robin and Catwoman are Batman's sidekicks

Me: Well...Catwoman isn't a sidekick. Sometimes she works with Batman and sometimes she is a villain.

peaseblossom: She's like Magneto that way, she switches back and forth.

The Boy: Magneto?

Me: I don't believe you used Magneto to explain something. We are such a geek family.

UPDATE: I have just been informed that the boy is Robin, peaseblossom is Raven and the starchild is, aptly enough, StarFire and that the hosue has become Titans Tower for the afternoon. I'm not sure who I'd chsoe if my chocie is either Cyborg or Beastboy. I'm also told that the starchild can say Starfire, and likes to say it a lot.

And actually, she started out as the adventures of Wonder Woman when she was a girl, but when they were writing the second or third Teen Titans comic, somebody remembered seeing a cover with a picture of a young girl in a wonder woman costume and assumed it was a kid sidekick.
