[livejournal.com profile] peaseblossom reads a book like The Omnivore's Dilemma and she waxes poetically about it. I read the same book and all I can think about is a game where everyone plays organic farmers living on a cooperative somewhere who are fighting the good fight against evil corn gods who are fattening western civilization for a great sacrifice (say 2014) while trying to bring in the harvest.

I loved the line in your last Lexicon entry about "memetic arts that bend the natives of Africa and keep the corn-people quiet" and wondered were the hell the corn-people might have gotten into your head from.

(The whole entry was v. cool.)

That was essentially UnknownUSA, except substitute "beef" for "corn", and "crazed homicidal ne'er-do-wells" for "organic farmers."

I'm in. Also, the Corn King is a long-standing villain in my head.
