Trashy TV and more

Surgery yesterday went well; both incisions are closed up, Jere is off the morphine and on to percoset, and he's got shiny new black boots. It did, unfortunately, take up most of the day, not because it was particularly difficult but because they were having massive administrative problems (too many patients, not enough beds). So I thought it would take about an hour and a half total and it ended up taking about five hours altogether, which means that I didn't get out of the hospital when I could have, which was a bit frustrating because there's all sorts of logistics going on that I have to manage (like mailing things and calling people and going to the store, etc.), that I didn't get done. I did spend some time in the hospital's meditation room, but I was so wiped out that I kept falling asleep instead of meditating.

As far as I know (they're very bad about giving you a schedule), we'll probably be coming home on Friday, but that's very tentative. I wish it were Thursday. In the meantime we're catching up on watching all that trashy TV that we never get to see. My favorites are Mucha Lucha and Project: Runway. Jere thinks that today he might be up to reading, which is great.
