Cross Your Fingers

Okay, it looks like Jere might escape from the hospital this afternoon rather than tomorrow. The doctor took off the bandages today and everything looks like it's healing pretty well. He's all stapled up and bruised and looks a bit like Frankenstein at this point (just the legs, though, the rest of him looks less monsterous).

It will be such a relief to get home. His roommate watches TV all day and all night and Jere really didn't get enough rest yesterday and so was feeling very poorly by evening.

We did meet with a lawyer yesterday, and that will definitely help alleviate a lot of stress as far as worrying about money and police reports, etc.
