So my promotion was publically announced today and I've been getting congratulations all afternoon. Which is cool. Lots of new responsibilities and an 11% pay raise to boot!

And the VP of Corporate Quality (who I really look up to) just came by to personally congratulate me. Pretty cool.

You know who hasn't congratulated me? Anyone in my department (Comemrcial QA) except the senior management and my own team (excursions). That gives you a good indication of my black sheep status.

Well, we already congratulated you on the QT, but now that it's official, congratulations once again, Jere. That's terrific. And I'm sure well deserved. You were downplaying it the other night, but with an 11% raise it must be a genuine big deal.

That is really great, Jere. I'm convinced there's no better feeling in this world than a promotion and a raise. :)

In no particular order

  • The birth of my first child
  • Exchanging vows with [livejournal.com profile] peaseblossom surrounded by our family and friends and knowing I meant every word
  • The moment we both knew we were ready for a second child
  • The Birth of our second child

Not to detract from the good feeling I have and the money will sure come in handy (its our car payment)

Jere

Very nice! Employment status is too often an overly large piece of self-image in this crazy culture, but 11% and a promotion is also a pretty awesome way to say "we appreciate you." Congrats.

very, very cool and well deserved

Congrats on the promotion, Jere... .if anyone deserves a promotion, you do. *I* know for a fact how hard you work -- and this should have happened a LONG time ago. What's your official title now? Still working for the same boss??

Congratulations!
