For those who haven't read it yet, Matt Rossi's The Truth and the Truth is a good read. Of course I'm a sucker for espionage + magic/weirdness.

[livejournal.com profile] ezrael already gave me the plot for my first Delta Green in the Vineyard game... so why shouldn't he give me the whole campaign? :)

Wow. That's pretty sweet right there. But if you set the table with Jack Parsons, John Keel, MK-Ultra, and Candy Jones you'll get me there every time.

(as a tangent probably only of interest to the UA crowd, there was a throwaway mention in "Sex and Rockets" about Parsons and Hubbard trying to create a "moonchild" in the desert with their whole Bablon thing.)

I have a lot more on that if you are interested. Their lady in red is a fascinating figure in her own right.

Oh yes. Interested. Very.

I love Parsons as a mythological figure, but sadly I walked away from Sex & Rockets less entralled. When you add in the little factual details of his life, plus a lot of really insane sounding magic theory he just becomes...sad.
